NoHo, which is the common name for the area north of Houston Street, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Manhattan. NoHo is known for its abundance of loft apartments, which in turn makes it one of the most expensive and desirable neighborhoods in Manhattan. NoHo has been declared a 125-building historic district by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Situated a short walk from Washington Square Park, and centrally between both the East River and the Hudson River, there is always somewhere nearby to escape to. There is a wide choice of eateries nearby, covering a range of nationalities, due to the spread of nationalities in the area. There are also all the other amenities in close proximity that one would expect from a city center.

NoHo is known for its creativity and historical landmarks, and there are many attractions to enjoy and explore in the area. Some individual landmarks in the NoHo Historic District include the Astor Library, the Bayard-Condict Building, the Bouwerie Lane Theater, the DeVinne Press Building, and the Old Merchant's House. As well as these, two subway stations, Astor Place and Bleecker Street, are landmarked. There is an abundance of green spaces in the vicinity, offering a tranquil getaway from the busy city.
