About Chelsea

Chelsea is a predominantly residential neighborhood on the West Side of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The area contains the Chelsea Historic District and its extension includes attractive blocks containing examples of period architecture. The western part of Chelsea has recently become a hub of the New York art world, with many art galleries located in both new buildings and warehouses. In the last few years, Chelsea has experienced a new construction boom, with projects by renowned architects such as Shigeru Ban, Neil Denari, Jean Nouvel, and Frank Gehry. There are countless amenities in the vicinity, including banks, convenience stores, retail outlets, libraries, parks and restaurants, making this the ideal location in which to base a business.

Setting up your business here

The ethnic and social diversity of the area's population is reflected by the wide range of independent retail stores within Chelsea. Ethnic restaurants, delis and clothing boutiques are plentiful. Chelsea has become an alternative shopping destination with Barneys CO-OP - which replaced the much larger original Barneys flagship store - Comme des Garçons, and Balenciaga boutiques, as well as being in close proximity to Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Christian Louboutin. West Chelsea has become a new global center of contemporary art, and is home to hundreds of art galleries and many artist studios. There are copious networking opportunities with like-minded professionals and public transport around the area is fast and efficient.

We offer the following office types & services:
