The town of Caterham is located in the Tandridge District of Surrey, England. The area is made up of two main sections, namely Caterham on the Hill and Caterham Valley. The Hill section is where the original village centre was located and is currently home to numerous listed buildings. The Valley section houses the modern town centre and is the more urban section of the two. The region is home to numerous places of interest that attract a large number of visitors and tourists. Caterham railway station is the main railhead in the area, providing easy access to London. Scheduled trains go to London Bridge and Victoria stations throughout the week, whereas a direct train leaves for Charing Cross station every Sunday. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports can be reached by road, bus or the underground network once in London. Numerous other destinations such as Croydon, Oxted, Sutton, East Grinstead and Redhill can be accessed by bus.
