Area Information

Situated in the Marylebone area of central London, Manchester Square is a garden square that was developed in the 18th century. The square is home to a mansion, now known as Hertford House, which houses the beautiful Wallace Collection. The square still boasts many beautiful Georgian terraces, with many are being used as office space by companies wanting to be based in a distinguished location within the city centre. In addition to the Wallace Collection, there are many other sights and attractions close to Manchester Square. The vibrant atmosphere and shops of Oxford Street are around the corner, and you can reach the Handel House Museum, BBC Broadcasting House and the Michael Werner Gallery with ease.

Business Information

Once a residential area, Manchester Square retains its Georgian identity with its townhouses that have been converted to offices housing a number of businesses. ICI has headquarters at Manchester Square and other businesses and professionals based here include PR consultants, surveyors, accountants, event organisers, and property companies.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The entertainment begins just a few minutes from Manchester Square, where you will find Wigmore Hall, which is ideal for lovers of classical music. Nearby you will also find theatres, cinemas, and the London Palladium. No matter what kind of food you enjoy, you will find it and plenty more in the immediate vicinity of Manchester Square. At The Wallace you can sample fine French cuisine while Durrants offers hearty British dishes. Japanese delights can be enjoyed at Defune and if you are a vegetarian, Woodlands restaurant is the perfect place to go.

Transport Information

Bond Street and Marble Arch tube stations are right on the doorstep. Mainline services from Marylebone or Paddington railways stations offer onward journeys out of London. There are secure parking facilities, ideal if you are planning to use your own vehicle. Buses and taxis are also readily available. The popular Barclay’s bike scheme allows bicycles to be rented at a daily rate from the numerous docking stations nearby, meaning that there are transport modes to suit every preference.
