The City´s Historical museum is housed in an 18th century building that used to be a convent. There is an old cemetery and a collection of antique instruments. Another choice is El Celler de Can Roca – with three Michelin stars, this restaurant features a new look at Mediterranean cuisine.

The Autopista del Mediterrani is a major motorway the runs south from France through Figueres to Girona and continues to Badalona on the outskirts of Barcelona. Both Girona’s Old Town and its New Town, situated across the river, are pedestrian friendly.
