There are many great things to see in Qatar. The traditional old market, Souq Waqif offers great restaurants and fabulous bargains. The Pearl is a man-made island connected to Doha by a bridge. This island also offers a large variety of high-end restaurants and shops. Mathaf is the Arab museum of modern art, and Katara features a cultural village that is home to a beautiful beach, a wide selection of restaurants, and many cultural options. Transport Information

Qatar’s main airport is the Doha International Airport. Most transportation is done by road, mainly due to inexpensive petroleum in the country. This would include buses, taxes, and limousines. The Saudi Arabian Public Transport Company runs daily international bus services from Doha to Dammam, with onward connections running to Amman, Damascus, Abu Dhabi and Dubai amongst other cities. Within Qatar, the country’s public transport company, Mowasalat, runs services between Doha and other cities including Al Khor and Al Shamal. The Greater Doha bus network operates across the entire capital city. Taxis are also one of the easiest ways to travel around Doha.
