The capital of region of Tuscany, Florence is one of the most famous historical cities in Italy. Known as the birthplace of the renaissance period, Florence has massive influence over the Italian cultural and commercial economies. The city is best known for examples of medieval architecture like The Duomo, the Fountain of Neptune at the Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, which is also the Florentine Town Hall. The city is also home to ACF Fiorentina, one of the top football teams in the country.

Florence has a wide network of bus routes that connect every part of this massive city. Tickets are available at almost all bars, tobacconists, and newsstands for the buses. Firenze Santa Maria Novella is the main railway station for the city with over 59 million commuters passing through each year. Firenze Rifredi and Firenze Campo di Marte railway stations are also options for the railway network. Amerigo Vespucci is the city’s main airport and one of the two big landing areas in Tuscany.
