There are many foreign embassies and international organisations in the city, including the International Criminal Court.

Business Information

The Hague’s economy is dependant on government jobs, and several large international businesses that include AEGON – insurance, APM Terminals, KPN (Koninklijke PTT Nederland) - a Dutch telephone company, ING Investment Management, Royal Dutch Shell, Siemens A.G., and T-Mobile. There are many locations in The Hague for executive suites.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The Netherlands offers many Indonesian and colonial Dutch-Indies restaurants. Many of these restaurants were started by former colonists and those of mixed-decent who were forced to leave Indonesia when the country got independence in 1945. The Hague also has an active Chinatown with great Chinese food restaurants. Two dining choices include Haagsche brood – a famous local bakery offering specialties that include sweet bread filled with raisins and nuts, cookies, and chocolate. Bodega de Posthoorn - offers typical Dutch grandeur and a great place for a cup of coffee or a meal.
