Although mostly residential, you can certainly find a number of attractions if you’re there for the day, from the high-end shops on King’s Road and Sloane Street to the calm bubble of serenity that is the Physic Garden.

Chelsea occupies Southwest London, hugging the Northern bank of the Thames and overlooking the Battersea Power Station redevelopment project. The Northern end of Chelsea borders South Kensington.
Packed with towering townhouses, the roads are often quieter compared to the more central districts, but there are still plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions to keep you busy. King’s Road is more reminiscent of Oxford Street in terms of high traffic density and its selection of high-end stores.
Chelsea can be easily traversed both by foot and by car. Parking spaces are plentiful but are subject to the usual London premium. The area can also be reached easily by public transport with fifteen bus routes in service.
Be aware that there is no Underground station in Chelsea. Sloane Square tube station is the closest option but is only easily accessible from the eastern end of Chelsea. Although there are plans for a King’s Road Crossrail station, nothing has been finalised as of yet.
