This avenue begins in Georgetown at an intersection with K Street and ends after crossing into Montgomery County, Maryland. Wisconsin Avenue passes through the neighborhoods of Glover Park, Cathedral Heights, Cleveland Park, Tenleytown, and Friendship Heights.
Wisconsin Avenue in the Georgetown area is near the main Georgetown University campus, the Volta Bureau, and the embassies of France, Mongolia, Sweden, Thailand, and the Ukraine.
