Bordered by San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and including Brooks Island, the Brother Islands, and half of Red Rock Island, the city of Richmond has over 32 miles of waterfront, more than any other city in the Bay area.

During baseball season there is extra ferry service to Giants Ballpark. The city also offers extensive cycle tracks.
