Pennsylvania Station is commonly known as Penn Station. This station is a major intercity train station and a key commuter rail hub, in New York City. The station is located in the underground levels of Pennsylvania Plaza, a large urban complex located between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue and between 31st and 33rd streets. This building is connected to Madison Square Garden and is in close proximity to other Manhattan landmarks, including the Empire State Building, and Koreatown. Penn Station is the busiest passenger transportation facility in the United States and by far the busiest train station in North America.Connections are available within the complex to two stations of the New York City Subway, which are located at opposite ends of the station, as well as the many bus services at street level.

Transport Information

Penn Station is an Amtrak station, MTA LIRR commuter rail terminal, NJT commuter rail terminal, MTA New York City Subway station, MTA New York City Bus terminal, and the Intercity Bus terminal. Penn Station is at the center of the Northeast Corridor. This is an electrified passenger rail line extending south from the New York City Metropolitan Area to Washington, D.C. and northward to Boston. NJ TRANSIT rail service to and from Newark Liberty International Airport operates 21 hours a day, seven days a week, there is no rail service between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Getting to and from John F Kennedy International Airport on the AirTrain service is also fast and easy.
