North Chicago is an outer suburb of the Chicago metropolitan area, in the state of Illinois. This United States incorporated city is in Lake County. The city is situated on Lake Michigan. It includes a Lake County Forest Preserve unit—the Greenbelt Cultural Center and Forest Preserve.
