New York, New York - the only city in the world that is "so nice, they had to name it twice" - has had the reputation as being the center of American business for nearly two centuries. The concept of integrated landscaping, waterworks, and bridges that was to become Central Park was designed by American author Frederick Law Olmstead and English architect Calvert Vaux in 1857. Today, Central Park is bordered north and south by West 110th and West 59th streets, and on the west and east by Eight Avenue and Fifth Avenue, respectively.

This mid-town location has made Central Park an extremely attractive venue for tourism and entertainment, with Times Square to its immediate south and, of course, the world-renowned Shakespearean Festival held each year in the environs of the park itself. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is also close by, and Madison Avenue, the icon of advertising addresses, is within just a few blocks of Central Park as well.

Yet the aesthetic appeal is not reserved exclusively for the lighter, artistic side of industry. Park Avenue, just a few blocks east of Central Park, is perhaps the most prestigious business center in the Western Hemisphere, headquartering the office suites of such luminary corporations as J.P. Morgan Chase, insurance giants MetLife and New York Life, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Major League Baseball.

Given the additional advantage of being within close proximity to Grand Central Station, Central Park has become a much sought-after location for those interested in setting up their office space in one of the world's largest marketplaces.
