Louisianan Avenue is a short street (3 blocks) located in the Northwest and Northeast quadrants of Washington D.C., in the United States. Situated just a few blocks from the Capitol, one end of this street lies at Constitution Avenue NW, the other end is at Columbus Circle. Louisiana Avenue cuts through a corner of the Lower Senate Park.

Things to see and do along Louisiana Ave include Columbus Circle. A popular tourist spot, this circle is located between Union Station and the grounds of the United States Capitol. The Columbus Fountain is the centerpiece of the circle. The circle is ringed by flags of each of the 50 U.S. states in order of admission to the Union. It is enclosed with a stone balustrade. The Upper and Lower Senate Park were built on top of the parking garage used by members of the Senate. Lower Senate Park features a shallow rectangular reflecting pool flanked by wide pathways and fountains, the upper section focuses on a large fountain, plaza, and tree-lined lawn that connects to the Senate and Capitol grounds. Dining options near Louisiana Avenue include Art and Soul, Article One American Grill, West Wing Café, and Johnny’s Half Shell. Charlie Palmer Steak is the best place around for a good steak and is reasonably priced.
Airports serving the area include Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The area is served by Metrolink and bus service. Union Station is just across Columbus Circle.
