Los Angeles County is home to over 840 museums and art galleries. LA has more museums per capita than any other city in the world. Many of the museums are internationally recognized, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (the largest art museum in the Western United States), the Battleship Iowa, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
