Lakewood is a city suburb of Denver, the capital city of the American state of Colorado. It is located 7 miles west of Denver. Much of Lakewood is an upscale residential neighborhood. The area is served by Denver’s RTD bus service with the major stops being Lakewood Commons Station, Federal Center Station and Green Mountain Plaza Station. The West Rail Line, which will be the cities first RTD FasTracks rail line, is to open on April 26 and will serve Lakewood.
