Fremont is a city in the U.S. state of California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Fremont is the fourth most populated city and the largest suburb in the Bay Area. It is the closest East Bay city to Silicon Valley. Fremont, Newark, and Union City are collectively known as the Tri-City Area.
