Located at the center of City Hall Park, New York City Hall is situated between Broadway, Park Row, and Chambers Street. As the oldest City Hall in the United States, this site is both a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Both the exterior of the building and the interior have been designated as New York City landmarks. The City Hall building houses the office of the Mayor of New York, and the chambers of the New York City Council.

Transport Information

The nearest operating subway stations to City Hall include Brooklyn Bridge – City Hall, offering the IRT Lexington Avenue Line’s 4, 5, 6, and 6 trains. There is also City Hall BMT Broadway Line with N and R trains, and Park Place IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line with its 2 and 3 trains. LaGuardia Airport is the closest airport to City Hall. It is located in Queens, 8 miles from Manhattan. Public transportation from LaGuardia is provided by bus. Kennedy Airport is 15 miles from the New York City Hall. You can travel from this airport via a light-rail Airtrain that connects directly to New York’s subway system.
