Amtrak trains arrive and depart from Union Station on the western edge of downtown Chicago. There are commuter trains serving not only Chicago neighborhoods but hundreds of suburbs in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. There is also a bus station, and you can get to Chicago by car from the network of interstate highways.
