Chatsworth is a district within the city of Los Angeles, in the U.S. state of California. It is situated in the northwestern San Fernando Valley, bordered by the Santa Susana Mountains, Los Angeles County, Porter Ranch, Northridge, West Hills, Canoga Park, Winnetka, Simi Hills, Ventura County, and Simi Valley. The area is historically significant as a Native American tribal settlement. Chatsworth offers industrial areas, ranch-style home developments, large apartment and condominium complexes, parks, ranches, horse stables, horse trails, and farms, shopping centers, restaurants, and a train station.

The park offers miles of horseback, jogging, and hiking trails, picnic tables, barbecue pits, and outcrops of boulders. Dining options in Chatsworth include Les Sisters’ Southern Kitchenland Cowboy Palace. Los Toros is a favorite Mexican eatery in the area which serve excellent margaritas.

Transport Information

The Chatsworth Transportation Center and Train Station serves as a major transportation hub for the town of Chatsworth and the surrounding area. It is served by the Metrolink Ventura County Line that runs from Ventura to Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles, and by the Amtrak California Pacific Surf liner with daily service up and down the state. This transportation center also links to Los Angeles Metro, Simi Valley, and Santa Clarita bus routes. Airports in the area include Bob Hope Airport located 19 miles from Chatsworth, Los Angeles International Airport situated 35 miles from the district, and Long Beach Airport within 52 miles of Chatsworth.
