Pleasanton is a city in the U.S. state of California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Incorporated in 1894, this suburb is situated in Alameda County, 25 miles east of Oakland, and six miles west of Livermore. Its motto is The City of Planned Progress and its construction began in the 1890s.
