Transport Information

The area is located conveniently close to Grand Central Terminal and is accessed by New York City’s metro bus system with the M1, M2, M3 and M4 lines serving the area. The 4, 5, and 6 trains serve the east side of the district, and the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Avenue lines serve the west side of the district. Fifth Avenue carries one-way traffic and taxis are widely available throughout the area. The minimum metered fare is $2.50, which increases by 50 cents every fifth of a mile. It is located 10 miles southwest of LaGuardia International Airport, which provides regional and international flights to Canada and the Caribbean isles. The area is 16 miles northwest of John F. Kennedy International Airport, which provides regional and international flights to Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Caribbean isles.
