Broad Street, New York City is located in the financial district of the Lower Manhattan borough, stretching from South Street to Wall Street. In 1676, this was the location of the Broad canal, which was an inlet from the East River. Gradually, the accumulation of refuse and garbage caused it to be turned into a street.
Many huge skyscrapers line Broad Street, but the most famous address is 18 Broad Street, (the cross street is Wall Street), which is the location of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Completed in April 22, 1903, the NYSE building is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historical Places and is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. Over time, the NYSE has grown from a group of 24 stock brokers signing the Buttonwood Agreement of May 17, 1792 to the modern era of electronic trading on the transnational stock exchange of NYSE Euronext.
Broad Street is in a prime location with numerous transportation options available including its own Broad Street Station for the New York Subway rapid transit system, Staten Island Ferry and Metropolitan Transport Authority buses. The Brooklyn Battery Tunnel is located on the southeast side, Broadway is a block away from Broad Street, and connections to FDR Drive bring travellers to the Brooklyn Bridge.
If you want to be located in the financial district of the world, there are many Broad Street executive suites and office space rentals. These Broad Street executive suites are very popular with many options including hourly, weekly, monthly and yearly rental of commercial office space. Since technology is so important to modern business, compare prices per workstation rather than merely per square foot. A wide range of prices are available, but expect to pay an average of $550 up to $900 per workstation per month for Broad Street office space.
