Broadway is the famed avenue that is perhaps the most well-known and frequented street in Manhattan, as well as one of the most historic. Dating back to the first Dutch settlement of New York, Broadway is the heart of tourism and much of New York City's business district, running the length of the island from north to south, from Bowling Green Park to the Inwood neighborhood of the Bronx.
Transportation options to, from, and along Broadway are extensive. Besides driving, one may opt to take subway lines, such as the IRT Lexington Avenue Line, the BMT Broadway Line, the IRT Broadway-Seventh Avenue Line, and the IND Eighth Avenue Line. Buses are abundant and taxis abound.
When driving from the southernmost tip of Broadway through to the northernmost, one sees a wide variance in the style of architecture from different eras. White stone buildings of the Financial District near Bowling Green lead to the flash and sizzle of the Theater District and the giant skyscrapers of Midtown, including the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, MetLife Building and Bank of America Tower. In the Bronx, buildings simplify into structures averaging five to eight floors, versus dozens of stories tall.
If you are considering locating your office space on Broadway, there are plenty of choices for executive suites or shared office space. Because sections of Broadway vary so much from understated in the north to exceptionally vibrant hubs to luxury business sectors at the Financial District and Midtown, pricing will also vary widely.
Perhaps the smartest approach is to seek scalable space to suit your current needs, with the ability to add workstations or individual offices as your company grows. All along Broadway you can find fully furnished, turn-key office space to get you up and running immediately, or personal office space where you are responsible for some or all of the amenities. Workstation rentals typically start at $550 per workstation per month, but on Broadway pricing is greatly affected by location, size, privacy, and included amenities in the rent.
Some providers of Broadway executive suites and commercial office space along Broadway are Regus and Bevmax Office Centers (listed above). Solutions and amenities often include reception service, state of the art telephone systems, mail handling, vending machines and/or coffee service, meeting rooms, and extended hours.
