Area Information

The town of Sutton is the administrative headquarters of the borough of Sutton, which is located in South London. Its location on the lower slopes of North Downs Hill has added to its appeal tremendously. Manor Park and Sutton Green are large green spaces in town, which are frequented by locals and visitors alike. Other notable places of interest in the region include Trinity Church, Honeywood Heritage Centre and Nonsuch Museum. The area is also extremely famous for its works of public art, most of which are created on the walls of buildings.

Business Information

Barclays Bank occupies a huge office building in High Street and is a major employer in the area. Reed Business Publishing is the other major employer in town, with numerous serviced offices in the vicinity. St. Nicholas Centre and Times Square are two of the predominant shopping venues in Sutton. In addition to a huge Debenhams store, these venues are home to other retail brands such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Carlton Stores.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The Secombe Theatre is one of the popular entertainment venues in town. In addition to local productions, you can also catch touring shows at the venue. Stand-up comedy and musical performances are also staged regularly. Film aficionados can head to Empire Cinema to catch the latest releases. M Manze is famous for its traditional British cuisine, especially their pie and mash.

Transport Information

Sutton station is the primary railhead in the area, with direct train services to numerous locations in Central London such as London Bridge, Victoria, Blackfriars and St. Pancras station. Other locations such as Croydon, Epsom, Luton and Wimbledon can also be reached from here. Two other secondary stations, namely West Sutton and Sutton Common stations, also serve the area well. Services on the First Capital Connect and Thameslink lines can be accessed from here. Morden tube station is a short bus ride away, providing connectivity to the Underground network. The X26 Express coach service is the most convenient way to reach Heathrow Airport.
