About Paddington Train Station
Paddington is a district in west London which is currently seeing many new developments. A major project called Paddington Waterside, taking place between 1998 and 2018, aims to regenerate former railway and canal land. The district has three important landmarks, including Paddington station, St Mary’s Hospital and Paddington Green Police Station – the United Kingdom’s most important high-security police station. Paddington Station or London Paddington, as it is also known, is a historical site, having been the London terminus of the Great Western Railway since 1838. The station provides access around London, as well as to other major cities within the UK.
