About Hackney Wick Train Station

Hackney is a London borough in the north east of the UKís capital city. The area is located immediately north east of the City of London, to the west of Islington and north of Tower Hamlets. Hackney is close to the heart of Londonís commercial and cultural centre and it has played an important role in the redevelopment and rejuvenation of east London in recent years. The eastern edge of the Borough of Hackney is marked by the River Lea, which historically marked the boundaries of the counties of Essex and Middlesex. Despite lying within a central and inner city area of London, Hackney boasts numerous large and well-kept parks, including London Fields, Haggerston Park and Hackney Downs. Among the most vibrant and popular parts of the borough is Hoxton, which has earned a reputation as one of Londonís leading nightlife hotspots.

Setting up your business here

Hackney was traditionally an industrial and residential district of London but in the 21st century it has emerged as a commercial hub and its serviced office space supply has increased substantially. Today there are dozens of small, medium and large-scale businesses with office space holdings in the borough. Companies based in the area include the digital marketing company Gloc Media, the train operator First Capital Connect and the accountants of Jeffreys Henry LLP. Hackney offers straightforward access to all parts of central, east and west London, and is in particularly close proximity to the City of London and Old Street.
