About South West London

South West London is comprised of various London boroughs, including Croydon, Richmond, Kensington and Wandsworth. There are historical areas such as Richmond, which is named after Henry VIII’s Richmond Palace, and Wandsworth which houses the site to the original Young & Co brewery. Many areas of South West London have also been extensively redeveloped for shopping and business, including Croydon which received funding in 2013 for a full redevelopment of the town centre. Wandsworth Prison is situated in Wandsworth, and is one of the largest prisons in Europe, as well as being the largest prison in London.
