Scarborough is a town in the northern part of Yorkshire and is situated in the borough of the same name. The town has a beautiful harbour that leads up to the older part of town, above the majestic limestone cliffs. It is one of the most popular resorts in the county and has a rapidly growing business and service sector. On the eastern coast of England, Scarborough is the top-most destination on tour-guides with South Bay and North Bay being just two of the many spots that tourists and locals flock to. Scarborough Lighthouse is a major landmark in the area while the town’s culture is reflected in events such as the annual Seafest, a festival that takes place on the West Pier of the Scarborough Harbour.

Business Information

Along with tourism-related stores and businesses, Scarborough also has a number of graphic design firms, fashion designers, interior decorators, animation & graphics firms and advertising agencies. England’s first free Wi-Fi sea-front is at Scarborough while Pindar has its printing facility in the area. Plaxtons has a facility in the city, while other professions, such as lawyers, business consultants, marketing consultants and IT companies also have office space in Scarborough.

Entertainment And Dining Out

Scarborough is the place to be for vibrant entertainment and fun. From night-clubs to theatre, the town has everything imaginable on offer. Stephen Joseph Theatre is a hub for theatre fans while Futurist Theatre and Hollywood Plaza are great for fans of cinema. With many dining options available, Scarborough spoils patrons. You can enjoy a wide selection of traditional and modern English dishes at places like Bryherstones Inn while Cage Fish has a great choice of seafood. Jeremy’s is the best place to find food from different parts of Europe all on the same menu.
