The town of Redhill is located in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey. Originally known as Warwick Town, the current name came into existence with the opening of the local post office in the Red Hill area. The region is famous for being one of only a select few places in all of Britain from where Fuller’s Earth can be obtained. It also has the distinction of being the town where dynamite was first tested by Alfred Nobel. Places of interest in the region include the beautiful chapel and Japanese gardens at Gatton Park. The annual air displays at Redhill Aerodrome, as well as the London-Brighton Veteran Car Run are major attractions in the area.

Direct trains regularly run to London on the Brighton Line, as they do on the Redhill to Tonbridge Line. Services on the North Downs Line, run all the way from Redhill to Reading. Numerous bus and coach services originate from Redhill bus station, with access to several destinations within Surrey and onwards to London. Gatwick Airport is the closest link for international travellers and can be reached via train and bus or the A25 road.
