Minories is conveniently situated in the City of London, with a central position close to the Tower of London. An area with a lengthy history, Minories was once home to a large Jewish community. Its location in a central part of London means that it is close to a variety of different attractions and places of interest, so there is plenty to see and explore here. The Tower of London can be reached on foot and just a little further on you will find Lloyd’s of London, Whitechapel Gallery, Heron Tower and the Monument among others.
Minories is home to a large number of insurance brokers and providers, whom take up a lot of the office space in the area. Many legal service providers also operate from Minories, along with a variety of other businesses including employment and recruitment agencies, accountants, business service providers and finance companies.
Entertainment And Dining Out
Finding places to go for an evening’s entertainment will not be an issue, as there are plenty of options in and around Minories. If you enjoy classical music you can head to Wilton’s Music Hall, live music is always just around the corner at The Mahogany Bar, and you can take in a show at Southwark Playhouse. A wide variety of dining options are right on the doorstep, with all manner of cuisine available. Thai Square is a great place to head if you want to sample delicious Thai dishes, Tike produces some great Turkish dishes, and for fine French cuisine you can head to Chez Gerard.
Transport links from Minories are very good, with two tube stations, Tower Hill and Aldgate, located very close by. Fenchurch Street and Liverpool Street railway stations provide the area with mainline services, making journeys possible to all other major UK cities. Bus services and taxis are plentiful around Minories, which is ideal for those who are not driving, and London’s recently installed public bicycle scheme offers the option town using pedal power.
