Formed when three smaller London boroughs merged, Merton is a large borough of London and a major commercial district in the south-western part of the city. The borough is the venue for the famous tennis grand-slam tournament, Wimbledon, each year. Hampton Court Palace is also nearby as is Chessington World of Adventures, which is one of the major crowd-pullers in the area.
Merton is home to a number of serviced offices that house graphic design firms, employment agencies, catering companies, builders, accountants, financial service providers, kitchen planners, solicitors, tour operators and mini-cab services. Square Enix Europe has its head office in Merton too, while other businesses here include advertising agencies and shipping companies, among others.
