Area Information
Letchworth is a town located in the county of Hertfordshire. The town is also known as Letchworth Garden City and has the distinction of being the first ever garden city in UK. In the early 1900s when the town was being planned, there was a marked difference between an industrial town and country villages. At that time, Ebenezer Howard believed that garden cities could be created that would be an ideal amalgamation of picturesque countryside and thriving industry.
