About Leicester Square
Leicester Square lies right in the heart of London’s West End, an area renowned for its association with the city’s theatre, film and entertainment industries. The square itself is a well preserved area of garden space surrounded by all manner of bars and restaurants, as well as the famous Odeon Cinema, which hosts many a glitzy film premiere each year, including the eight Harry Potter films. In addition to the attractions of Leicester Square itself, the area is connected to and bordered by other thriving and hugely popular parts of the city such as Soho, Covent Garden, China Town and Trafalgar Square. All the most famous and frequented theatres of the West End are close by and there are a dizzying array of bars, pubs and restaurants for visitors to the area to choose from.
