Area Information

The district of Lee Green is located in southeast London. While the majority of the district falls within the borough of Lewisham, a small portion falls within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Until the 18th century, Lee Green was a small area of cultivation that was mostly surrounded by woodland. It was the opening of Lee Station in the year 1866 that led to immense development in the district and turned it into an important part of London. Today, the area boasts of several shopping centres and businesses that attract thousands of visitors and business people year round. Eltham Palace and Ranger’s House are two of the main buildings of historical importance in the area that offer people a look at the opulence and grandeur of old-time Britain.

Transport Information
