Hertford is a county town located in Hertfordshire, in the South of England. It is believed that the name of the town is of Anglo Saxon origin, in which ‘ford’ denotes a shallow place close to a small river or stream; often well frequented by stags, deer or harts. Being situated at the confluence point of four river valleys makes the entire area extremely beautiful and picturesque. Hertford Museum is a famous attraction in the area, offering a fascinating look into the history of the town.
