A small but well known village in Buckinghamshire, Gerrards Cross came into existence only in the latter part of the 19th century. Small portions of land were taken from five different parishes and converted into a separate village known as Gerrards Cross. The Gerrard family was one of the most famous and wealthy families in the area and also owned a grand manor here, which is how the parish got its name. Today, the village has gained immense importance due to its natural beauty and proximity to London. It is the preferred residential location for several famous celebrities, so much so that it has earned the nickname of ĎMini Hollywood’. In 2010, the BBC conferred the distinction of ĎUK’s Richest Town’ on Gerrards Cross, adding to its reputation as an exclusive destination.
