Elstree is a small village located in the borough of Hertsmere in the county of Hertfordshire. Formerly a part of the parish of Elstree and Borehamwood, the village was separated from the bigger town and is today simply known by the name of Elstree. However, even today both the areas are considered to be one and the same, and their names are often used interchangeably by locals. The area is famous for the numerous film studios located in the vicinity, the most popular of them being Elstree Film Studios. BBC Studios is also located in the region. The picturesque village also has the distinction of being the location where the reality series Big Brother is filmed.
