Area Information

The area at the intersection of Shaftesbury Avenue and Charing Cross road in central London is known as Cambridge Circus. Once a roundabout, the area does not have its famous traffic island any longer, but continues to be a major junction. Its proximity to Leicester Square, as well as the presence of the Palace Theatre on the west side of the intersection, is largely responsible for a huge number of visitors to the area. Cambridge Circus has also become famous as the neighbourhood that houses the offices of M16, as fictionalised in writer John Le Carre’s works. Portions of many popular films including The League of Gentlemen, Match Point, and recently Slumdog Millionaire, have been shot at this location.

Business Information

Cambridge Circus has numerous serviced offices, providing the ideal commercial space for businesses related to the consultancy, retail, hospitality and media industries. This locality benefits from a large number of tourists, thanks to the many sights and attractions based nearby. Primarily known for the many theatres and cinemas in the area, Cambridge Circus is also emerging as a preferred location for a diverse range of businesses.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The magnificent Palace Theatre dominates the skyline near Cambridge Circus. Numerous successful and often sold-out plays are staged here, making for a wonderful evening of theatrical entertainment. The nearby Leicester Square has several state-of-the-art cinemas, and often hosts premiers. You can dine out at one of the many elegant champagne bars in the vicinity for a night of revelry. If a quiet evening is more your style, Cambridge Circus offers a host of dining options featuring all kinds of world cuisine.

Transport Information

Leicester Square and Covent Garden tube stations both major hubs, and are both located in the immediate vicinity. Cambridge Circus is well connected to all parts of London through the road and bus networks too. Charing Cross station is a short walk away, providing access to the mainline rail network, and Euston station is a short bus ride away.
