Broadgate is a largely pedestrianised area within the City of London and a popular destination for businesses and tourists. Combining retail, commercial and communal spaces, Broadgate is a busy part of the City renowned in part for its striking artwork and sculptures that help give the area a quite unique feel. There are a number of prominent architectural features in the area, not least Broadgate Tower, which comprises close to 13,000 sq ft of office space, and Broadgate Circle, which is used for public events and as an ice rink at chillier times of the year. Broadgate lies just west of Bishopsgate, a major road route through the City of London and just east of Finsbury Circus; a small but pleasant public garden not to be confused with Finsbury Park. Well known landmarks nearby include the Gherkin on St May Axe and the Heron Tower. Areas nearby include Barbican, Spitalfields, Bank and Shoreditch, which youíll find a little way to the north.
Setting up your business here
Broadgate benefits significantly as a business location from its proximity to Liverpool Street train station, which is a matter of yards away. The area is also set to be served by the under-construction CrossRail transport system, which will soon link the City with much of the south-east of England. Until then, Broadgate is very well connected by Tube as well as by Rail with stations at Liverpool Street and at nearby Moorgate.

Things to do in Broadgate
Broadgate is located within the thriving and vibrant heart of the City of London. It is therefore close to a variety of financial institutions and associated buildings, both old and new. But it is also a great place to be at any time and for any reason, with the surrounding streets packed with history and cultural significance, as well as excellent restaurants and lively local pubs. You could for example try some traditional Scottish dining and whiskies at the Boisdale, some Spanish tapas at La Tasca or some sushi from Itsu. Or you could enjoy the views and the food from the 40th floor of the Heron Tower and the Duck & Waffle restaurant. For some of the best pubs and bars in the area head towards Spitalfields and look out for the Woodins Shades and The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town on Artillery Lane.
