About Bermondsey

Recognised as an artistic and commercial district in south London, Bermondsey lies to the south of the River Thames and is neighboured by Southwark to the west, Rotherhithe to the east and Walworth to the south. You will find a selection of museums and a small number of art galleries in the area, as well as Bermondsey Abbey and Bermondsey Square, which is situated at the southern end of Bermondsey Street and home to the New Caledonian Antiques Market. In addition to being a successful commercial district, property is also very much in demand in Bermondsey, and the area is popular with celebrities such as Marc Almond, Zandra Rhodes and Jonathan Meades. Along with the cultural and artistic side of Bermondsey, there is also a great emphasis on dining and evening entertainment which can be found on Bermondsey Street, filled with popular restaurants and bars.
