An Angel Office Space Guide

 

Angel is a residential and commercial neighbourhood in London's inner-city district of Islington, which is located in the Borough of Islington. The centre of Angel corresponds roughly with the intersection of Pentonville Road and Islington High Street and nearby neighbourhoods include Finsbury, Shoreditch and Clerkenwell. With London's excellent public transportation system, travelling to and from Angel is not difficult and the nearest tube station is The Angel, which is on the Bank branch of the Underground's Northern Line and which lies between King's Cross St Pancras and Old Street Stations.

 

Angel takes its name from The Angel Inn, which was built sometime before 1665 and which is located on the corner of Pentonville Street and Islington High Street. Literary connections to the inn abound and The Angel has been mentioned in such works as Dickens's Oliver Twist and Henry C Shelley's The Inns and Taverns of Old London. Visitors to Angel should also make time to see the Union Chapel - now a Grade II listed building - and the Dickens Museum. And no visit to Angel would be complete without catching a show at the world renowned Sadler's Wells Theatre.
