Daventry is a small town in the county of Northamptonshire and is based around the historic marketplace that still dominates Market Square. The town is mainly rural with a number of open areas surrounding it. It also boasts reminders of bygone eras such as the Broadcasting Station which was once the home of the BBC Empire Service. Other major landmarks in the area include Moot Hall, Holy Cross Parish Church and Borough Hill Roman Villa, which features the remains of a fortress from the Iron Age.
