The town of Wallington is located in the borough of Sutton, about 10 miles from Central London. It now falls under the local authority area of Greater London, but was originally a part of the County of Surrey. The name of the town is derived from an Anglo-Saxon word Waletone, which denotes a ‘village of the Britons’.
