Located in the Charnwood Borough of the county of Leicestershire, Loughborough is the second largest settlement in the county, after Leicester. The world’s largest bell foundry, John Taylor Bellfounders, is located in the area while Dishley Grange Farm is a prominent landmark on the outskirts of town. Loughborough also offers transport over water with the River Soar connecting the southern side of town via the Grand Union Canal.
