Sharq is a business district and neighbourhood of Kuwait City, in the country of Kuwait. This area offers many hotels, high rise buildings, and notable shopping complexes such as the Souq Sharq. Kuwait City is the capital of Kuwait. It is situated in the centre of the country on the Persian Gulf. Kuwait’s parliament, a great many of the country’s government offices, and the headquarters of most Kuwaiti corporations and banks, are situated in Kuwait City.
The economy in Sharq is dependent on tourism, commercial offerings, and the business district with office space and light industrial facilities. The Souq Sharq is a major shopping centre for Kuwait City. This traditional souq has been updated into a modern, western-style shopping mall. Stores at the mall include River Island, Next, Boots, Milano, Nokia, Sony, GNC, Mothercare, The Body Shop, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and Häagen-Dazs.

Besides the shopping centre in Souq, the proximity to Kuwait City allows access to activities such as the city’s Aquarium. As the largest facility of its kind in the Middle East, there is a unique intertidal display offering eye-level waves, a living reef, and a wrap-a-round, floor to ceiling shark tank. The Fish Market at Marboula is an extremely popular restaurant in the area and it would be a good idea to book advance. Fish are displayed for your choosing and are cooked before your eyes in range of mouth-watering dishes.
Kuwait International Airport is the only airport in the country. It is a 15 minute drive from Sharq. There is a good road system in Kuwait with the signs in Arabic and English. The countries public transport offers routes in every major city.
