Beirut International Airport (BEY) serves the country. It is located 5 km (3 miles) south of Beirut’s city centre. You can drive from north to south Lebanon in less than three hours as this is a small country. Although there is no air or rail services operating within Lebanon, extensive buss, minibus and taxi services provide easy and efficient transport options. Frequent bus services leave from Beirut and travel to all of Lebanon’s major towns, including Sour, Zahle and Tripoli. Particular bus services also provide international connections between Beirut and Syria.
