Germany Office Space & Area Information

Area Information

Germany is officially the Federal Republic of Germany, German Deutschland or Bundesrepublik Deutschland. This is a country of north-central Europe. One of Europe’s largest countries, Germany offers a wide variety of landscapes. In the south there are tall, sheer mountains, the north offers rolling grassland, the west is urban and forested, and the east has agricultural plains. Supported by its strong manufacturing backbone, Germany has one of the strongest economies in the European Union. Modern Germany can be seen as a land of contrasts offering both half-timbered farming villages and dynamic urban skylines. You can enjoy a frothy beer in a rustic biergarten, sip wine from one of the country’s vineyards or drink a cosmopolitan coffee in any of the country’s numerous forward thinking cities.

Business Information

Thirty of them are Germany-based companies that include well-known global brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, SAP, Siemens, Volkswagen, Adidas, Audi, Allianz, Porsche, Bayer, Bosch, and Nivea. To grow their economy, Germany is recognised for its specialised small and medium enterprises. Around 1,000 of these companies are global market leaders in their segment. Entertainment And Dining Out

Take a walking tour of Berlin to witness important contemporary landmarks as well as reminders of crucial events from recent history and be sure to visit the Cold War shelters beneath Blochplatz and take in one of the theatre performances by the Berlin Documentary Theatre that are given in the shelter. Oktoberfest in Munich is a famous German beer festival that should certainly not be missed. There is a wide choice of international restaurants throughout the country but German national food is perhaps most worthy of sampling. Specialties in Germany include Bratwurst grilled sausage, and a regional drink called Ebbelelwoi, which is an apple wine. In Germany, a salad plate is often given before a main course, whether or not it is ordered. This is not a side dish; waiting staff will expect this to be eaten before the meal is brought. Germany is well known for its beer. There are several thousand varieties and vary from region to region.

Transport Information

The largest airports in the country are Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf. Other international airports include Berlin-Tegel, Cologne, Hamburg and Stuttgart.
