Rungis is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, in the department of Val-de-Marne. This suburb is best known as the location of the largest wholesale food market in the world. The Marché d’Intérêt National de Rungis serves the Paris metropolitan area and beyond. Rungis is located seven miles from the center of Paris.

The best way to get to Rungis is by car. The Orly Airport is within two miles of Rungis, at the junction of the A6 and RN7. The Rungis – La Fraternelle station is on Paris RER line C.
